Well as they say here in the UK . . . . "it's back to the grindstone" . . . . . what a great weekend in Ireland !!
Friday night at the Waterfront Hall in Belfast proved yet again to be a great success with a bumper crowd. The party started the minute we hit the stage, and as usual the people of Belfast showed us how to make a noise.
This was the first gig back after the winter break and yours truly had to keep his thinking cap on. We also had a new monitor engineer on our crew and I have to say; JC did a great job and for the first time in two years I went back to my "in ear monitors" . . . . I thoroughly enjoyed that experience again.
With a sold out gig on Saturday in Letterkenny (The birthplace of my Dad) and a rammed to the rafters gig in Vicar Street, Dublin on Sunday night ,it was a weekend not just to blow the cob webs off but one to remember and reflect just how loyal the Irish are in supporting the band.
So there you have it, we're back on the road and that's something I am going to have to get used to very quickly . . . . we have a busy schedule ahead . . . roll on next weekend with a couple of shows in the Czech Republic.
