08.15.12 Festival Time !!!

As soon as the month of May arrives, i know that the summer festivals are about to start.
This year is no different, with Festivals lined up in Denmark, Norway, Germany and Switzerland. . . . . . . I hear that discussions are also happening about a possible festival in the UK . . . watch this space for an update.

Smokie, recently entered the recording studio to experiment a couple of new songs. We brushed off off the studion cobwebs, and after some routining of songs on tour we proved we still have the skills, when we put our mind to some hard work . . . . who knows, this may well be the start of a new recording project.

With a cracking debut album finished and in the can, I can truly say that this band have been a pleasure to produce. They have a great commodity in George Brown, not only does he have a great voice, he is a great guitar player, and his songwriting skills will be on show for years to come, I'm sure.
I recently saw them live in Manchester, and I was blown away by just how good they were. If i'd have closed my eyes, I would have thought that the CD was playing . . . . go see these guys . . . . whilst you can at a cheap ticket price !!!

Steve Morse ???

Last night, someone was absolutley convinced that I was Steve Morse from Deep Purple . . . I am defo younger, and I use pantene conditioner . . . . .he doesn't !!!!

19.04.2012 "UK Gigs"

I have to say that the recent shows in the UK, were some of the most enjoyable gigs I have played in a long time.
I especially liked Holmfirth; The venue could do with a lick of paint and a nicer changing room wouldn't go amiss, but without a doubt this has to be one of the best UK music venues going, it also helps when a crowd no exactly what concert going is all about.

Signing CD's after a show is always a good time to have a chat with Smokie fans, I was also pleased to be able to sign my solo album for a few people, and I have to say that the poitive comments are really appreciated.
